To be published, papers must be presented during the conference and follow the required format for publication in IEEE Xplore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-contrast-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-2fefc5f9e481a182835d9fbd0d3ba5ee\">It is important to follow the steps specified below (see details of each in the following sections):<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list has-contrast-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-eaaadcc05c29167c4d0fbba7132a10e1\">\n<li>Step 1: Make improvements to your article according to the reviewers\u2019 recommendations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Step 2: Format the final version of your article according to IEEE style.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Step 3: Generate a compatible PDF file for your article using the PDF eXpress service.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Step 4: Complete and sign the Copyright form.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Step 5: Submit the final version of your article.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Step 6: Register for the conference.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-contrast-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-68da2e51baa33d0fbbc785549738902e\">It is mandatory to&nbsp;<strong>comply with all of these steps<\/strong>&nbsp;and submit the final version&nbsp;<strong>by October 1<sup>st<\/sup>&nbsp;, 2025<\/strong>, to publish your article&nbsp;<strong>in IEEE Xplore<\/strong>. Registration must also be completed by that date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-contrast-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-405d5d240655ae97ef8fd94deecf1541\">Each of these steps is explained in detail below.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns alignwide has-border-color has-base-color has-base-background-color has-text-color has-background has-link-color wp-elements-8a2cc9e0d7179f5e43a856c26984801c is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-f1061711 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\" style=\"border-color:#092d73;border-width:2px;border-radius:10px;padding-right:var(--wp--preset--spacing--20);padding-left:var(--wp--preset--spacing--20)\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Step 2: Format the final version of your article according to IEEE style:<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-contrast-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-61a5354696cc61052dcfc7549c8ba5cb\">The formatting instructions provided in this section MUST be strictly followed for your article to be included in the proceedings for publication in IEEEExplore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-contrast-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-756b1e678a537598708ed3573e928aff\">The reference format for the final version of articles is the IEEE standard (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ieee.org\/conferences_events\/conferences\/publishing\/templates.html\">Manuscript Templates for Conference Proceedings<\/a>). Be sure to review and correct the document format according to this template.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"has-contrast-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-0d6bfdee2f35c23c3c9b709e9b961ae2\">Submit articles in two columns, single-spaced,&nbsp;<strong>letter-size (8.5\u2033 x 11\u2033)<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-contrast-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-aa773fa627eb5402aef60f9548f80558\">Figure titles should be&nbsp;<strong>centered below the figure<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-contrast-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-c22d756dbd9db4ba1afde30084dac285\">Table titles should be&nbsp;<strong>centered above the figure<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-contrast-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-ef1d1d9cbbc705f4b79276788add5134\"><strong>Use IEEE style<\/strong>&nbsp;for bibliographic references.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-contrast-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-4040e6e3a7da9e70a6d84c99e16221a9\">The maximum article extension is&nbsp;<strong>8 pages&nbsp;<\/strong>for full papers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-contrast-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-32a44fb9db90d106edad0cb88615f691\">Ensure that figures and tables have high resolution and that their text is easily readable. Articles with low-resolution figures or tables may be rejected by IEEEExplore.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-contrast-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-5276368e644ee9b7935526bff51f3af3\">Do not include page numbers in your manuscript.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-contrast-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-a8a310669e89d6bf9f25d7779227c931\">Do not apply security settings to your PDF file.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-contrast-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-413decae0da434fda2461bcfd8b1534b\">Only PDF files (preferably generated by the IEEE PDF eXpress service) are accepted.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-contrast-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-840fabfe7c5bada014701232fff0f526\"><strong>Copyright Notice<\/strong>: The copyright notice (ISBN + year + price + IEEE) that appears at the bottom of the first page of IEEE published papers will be added by the Conference Secretariat. On the registration form, you will be asked to select the type of copyright notice that corresponds to your paper.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-contrast-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-f7b83a504b87fc1479d703f6b5788a36\">Articles must have&nbsp;<strong>ONLY ONE<\/strong>&nbsp;title (in English),&nbsp;<strong>ONLY ONE<\/strong>&nbsp;abstract (in English), and&nbsp;<strong>ONLY ONE<\/strong>&nbsp;index-terms list (in English). That is, if your article is written in Spanish or Portuguese, the title, abstract, and index-terms list must be in English. Do not include a second title (in Spanish or Portuguese), a second abstract (in Spanish or Portuguese), or a second keyword list (in Spanish or Portuguese).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-contrast-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-1c31d5dae6c06c752961eb64c4144a36\">Other common issues encountered in past submissions relate to the proper formatting of the title, authors, affiliations, and abstract. Please note:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list is-style-default has-contrast-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-31f1ab3b0a1f4b216dabb1e4d5b9353f\">\n<li>Use capital letters in the article title (main words with the first letter capitalized and minor words with lowercase).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Author names should not be numbered; do not include any numbered sequence when specifying the article\u2019s authors. Even if you can generate an IEEE Xplore-compatible PDF file using other means, you&nbsp;<strong>must use the IEEE PDF eXpress service<\/strong>&nbsp;to verify compatibility. PDF eXpress is a free service for IEEE conferences, allowing authors to generate IEEE Xplore-compatible PDF files (conversion feature) or to verify that author-generated PDF files are IEEE Xplore-compatible (verification feature).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-contrast-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-6104d5cf004a1e659e999b268410ad62\">If you want to submit a source file to PDF eXpress for conversion, PDF eXpress can convert the following file types to PDF: Postscript, Microsoft Word, Freelance, PageMaker, FrameMaker, TeX\/LaTeX (supporting files are required), WordPerfect, QuarkXpress, Rich Text Format, and Word Pro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-contrast-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-3d24b49d80e40e2c8fd2596933a2b99d\"><strong>Instructions for using PDF eXpress:<\/strong><br>If you already have a PDF eXpress account, access the PDF eXpress website by going to&nbsp;<strong>IEEE PDF eXpress<\/strong>&nbsp;(<a href=\"https:\/\/ieee-pdf-express.org\/account\/login?\">https:\/\/ieee-pdf-express.org\/account\/login?<\/a>) and entering&nbsp;<strong>66915X<\/strong> as your conference ID.<br>If you do not yet have a PDF eXpress account, you can create one by following these steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-contrast-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-593bd14b1f1c3b6d582fa7a3996b3879\">1. Go to the PDF eXpress website.<br>2. Click the \u201cCreate account\u201d link.<br>3. Enter&nbsp;<strong>66915X<\/strong> in the \u201cConference ID\u201d field.<br>4. Enter your email address and confirm it.<br>5. Choose a Password.<br>6. Click the \u201cSubmit\u201d button to continue and enter the additional information requested. (You will receive an email confirming the successful creation of your account.)<br><br>Now that you have a PDF eXpress account, for each article you want to generate, do the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-contrast-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-bcf6748a9b2efb0de43d2cab1b59c27b\"><br>1. PDF eXpress will display a small table with summary information about the uploaded file. To convert or approve your article, review the icons on the right. The first converts from Word or LaTeX to PDF. The second icon allows you to validate a PDF. For example, if you have a DOC or DOCX file with your article, you need the conversion function (first icon), but if you have a PDF file generated on your own, you only need the verification function (second icon).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh7-rt.googleusercontent.com\/docsz\/AD_4nXdZt4sLVgHL5VUvcuOSDHR-cGNK3eaflYTYRf28RNhXsrEDEdFLbKPv650zWIY7wMv6Amw270f3-f3ncxMJILu4L4Y-j94hnrtP6LVqqAJtUZMoE7o_WVaY6cW02R5Y1g?key=ZRJovcnRgs1ROsR09ADkWw\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-contrast-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-e0cc4e275869469219c1c9b9ec149092\">4. You will receive an email with the verified file (verification feature) or the resulting PDF file (conversion feature). If you used the verification feature, the email will specify whether your PDF file passed or failed the IEEE Xplore compatibility check. This time, the electronic system (IEEE Electronic Copyright Form \u2013 eCF) will be used. When completing the form, it is important to check that the article title and authors match the final manuscript. Otherwise, the paper may be rejected once submitted to IEEE Xplore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list has-contrast-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-24c92c3eb85972cd0e442ab7cb9ab2c3\">\n<li>You must log in to the conference\u2019s Easychair platform, but this time logging in as the \u201c<strong>Proceedings author (CHILECON Proceedings)<\/strong>\u201d role.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Then you must click the red \u201c<strong>Sign Copyright Agreement<\/strong>\u201d button, as shown in the figure.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It is very important that the article title is the same in the copyright agreement, in the PDF of the article itself, and in the system information (<strong>Paper Information<\/strong>).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/conferencia2025.clei.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2025\/07\/image-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2026\" style=\"width:551px;height:auto\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list has-contrast-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-12cdca2f602238ed807ed762c98ab465\">\n<li>You will be redirected to the ecopyright.ieee.org website, titled&nbsp;<strong>IEEE Publication Agreement<\/strong>, as shown in the figure below.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Follow the five steps within the site and review your article\u2019s title and author information, ensuring it is identical to the PDF version of the article.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>When you reach step 4, you will need to enter your name as your signature.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the fifth and final step, you will receive a confirmation email with a copy of the completed copyright form.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/conferencia2025.clei.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2025\/07\/image-3-1024x535.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2030\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-contrast-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-60bf8c67e2b6a9a3c02661d382b116e1\"><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns alignwide has-border-color has-base-color has-base-background-color has-text-color has-background has-link-color wp-elements-353e60488fdaf195dd42143ffc7ce8e4 is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-f1061711 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\" style=\"border-color:#092d73;border-width:2px;border-radius:10px;padding-right:var(--wp--preset--spacing--20);padding-left:var(--wp--preset--spacing--20)\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Step 5: Submit the final version of your article<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-contrast-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-396e789a0da87ece0a9990c30705e0ad\">The final version of your article must be submitted&nbsp;<strong>by October 1<sup>st<\/sup>, 2025<\/strong>, for inclusion in the conference technical program (CHILECON proceedings). To do so, you must:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list has-contrast-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-8f1519df286d8afc53005c50d038d67a\">\n<li>Log in to the conference\u2019s Easychair system, but this time as the \u201c<strong>Proceedings author (CHILECON Proceedings)<\/strong>\u201d role, similar to the previous step.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Then, in the upper right corner, select the \u201c<strong>Upload new version<\/strong>\u201d option and upload the article in PDF format, which you validated in step 3.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-contrast-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-69cbfe4309989da4d3b98e7cf2ac4f7d\"><strong>Before uploading the final version of your article, please check that you have not added page numbers and that your figures and tables are in high resolution. Also, verify that you have used IEEE style for bibliographic references and that the article is formatted in letter size (8.5\u2033 x 11\u2033). Articles accepted from CHILECON tracks must have a unique title, a unique abstract, and a unique list of keywords (Index Terms), all three in English only.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-contrast-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-b0333058c5c8f60939ce7a3c76a36a21\">Also,&nbsp;<strong>verify that you have formatted the final version of your article into an IEEE Xplore-compatible PDF file<\/strong>. For this reason, you must use PDF eXpress to generate or verify the PDF file of your article (see Step 3).
